Fund for Tomorrow
What is the Fund for Tomorrow?
Women all over the globe give their light and, together, we shine the light of Christ. In the spirit of the text from the Gospel of Matthew (5:15), we want to give that light to all in the house. Through the Fund for Tomorrow you honor a woman and young woman who had shared her light with you and you want to set her on a lampstand for the world to see.
Fund for Tomorrow tells a woman’s story that enables the inter-generational dialogue, a shared witness and a common vision of a tomorrow nurtured by informed prayer and prayerful action.

What is the goal of the Fund for Tomorrow?
The Fund provides opportunities for women of all nationalities and generations to attend the World Day Prayer international meetings. At these meetings, held every 4 or 5 years, women and young women share experiences and responsibilities for the WDP movement, including selecting themes and writer countries, developing global ecumenical sisterhood and envisioning prayerful actions that bring transformation to a world in need. The gift enables greater numbers of younger women to join in the WDP community, to share their gifts and wisdom, to engage in leadership roles and to inspire the future as it becomes the present right now.
In 1990, 80 women from 70 countries attended the international meeting. By 2012, with increased support from WDP Committees and the Fund for Tomorrow 225 women from 103 countries attended the meeting in New York City.
Who can donate to the Fund for Tomorrow?
